Hello everyone!!

I hope everyone is doing well and safe in these trying times. At the very onset , let me clarify that my introduction may sound eerily similar to the initial intro but believe me , we are two different individuals.

To begin with , I am an automotive engineer residing in Michigan. I have always been fascinated and intrigued by space and everything about it. The passion also transcends to aerospace engineering . Every time I gaze up at the moon , I make sure that I can spot the Sea of Tranquility and be reminded of the feats that we humans have achieved.

I just bought a 102mm AZ Star Sense Explorer Refractor telescope and that would be my first. I was able to view planets and a red super giant. Photography is not my forte and its something I plan on learning as I try to explore and capture the night sky.

When it comes to chess , it was just another board game for me . Things took a turn during my final years of Bachelors which also coincided with the build up to Anand- Carlsen WCC 2013. As for my rating , I have never participated in an official tournament. I have been active on Chess.com and Chess24 with my blitz/bullet rating varying between 1700+ and 1800+.

There is so much to learn and if you love it, it makes it even easier . The idea for this blog stems from our love for astronomy and chess and our willingness to learn and share .

I hope this will be fun. Thank you.

Cheers,

Astrogambit
