Early into my rated chess career, I had started to play in these beloved Month-long tournaments hosted by "All The King's Men" Chess Club.
In May 2018 (my second tournament at the club) I faced an opponent who was known to be a very aggressive tactician. I was rated 1434 back then and my play didn't really have a style. But I didn't have a lot to lose here. So, no pressure as long as I didn't end up humiliating myself.
This game while not exactly a classic, stands out as one of my more interesting ones. Something I can fondly look back on.
I was playing with the black pieces.
Make sure you follow the annotations in the game window ;)
That was quite a relief actually and I knew at that moment that I'd earned a place for myself at the club. I was proud of myself after a very long time :)
More games and annotations will follow. Drop a like and a comment if you enjoyed my game and the commentary.
Cheers.
